It’s
not an ordinary tale for the commercial cinema lovers. It’s a film as said by
many ‘Award winning thing’. But, it has Love and more importantly the humor, the loveable rural humor.
The
characterization by the director is awesome as every character stands out.
There are 3 main characters. There is a great grandfather called Century Gowda
who died just now. The 3 characters are his son, grandson and great grandson.
The son is a care free person who drinks and smokes and keeps enjoying. The
grandson is keen on inheriting his grandfather’s property. The great grandson
keeps hitting on a girl. Everyone have their own priorities and what happen on
during the Thithi function of the dead forms the story?
The
rural comedy stands out as it brings out the unique characters. The wife who
keeps frying her husband. The friends of the great grandson who keeps giving
humorous one liners. The women who runs an alcohol shop and also lends money. And
particularly the crowd who comes to the Thithi only for eating the meat is a
nice watch. And that the vehicle they use for transportation just for eating
makes you laugh whole heartedly.
The
director tries to explain the ironical part of the rural life. Their sadness
even though they seem happy. Their longing for a good life. Impact of
technology in the rural areas. And much more.
Overall,
the film is a delight to watch with its fun moments <3
The
climax is an unexpected and not the ordinary as we expect and that’s where the
Director stands out. That’s where the Director tries to explain the Irony of
life
Note: The grandfather character stands out. Watch out for his witty dialogues on how he sees life. His mannerisms are a delight to watch <3
