Maheshinte Prathikaram - A tale of how simple a life can be

Maheshinte Prathikaram - a Malayalam tale of revenge, Love, passion and light moment comedies

Story:

Its a revenge tale. But you will never feel like that. No blood. No gore violence. A revenge explained as simple as possible. But the movie is not only about revenge. Its about Love. Its about finding passion in your work

Characters:

Fahad Fazil's lifetime performance. Not just Fahad Fazil. Every single character has pulled it off very well. Particularly the girl in second half. A bold modern girl. Similar to the Anjali character in 'Engayum Eppothum'. The flash mob dance and the scene where she comes to Fahad's house demonstrates her potential.

And special mention to Premam fame PT master. He works as an assistant in Flex shop. He carries the movie forward when there are moments like 'what next?' Watch out for two best performances of him: juice juice scene and convincing his boss to believe that he is not in Love with his daughter

Screenplay:

To be honest, one of the best screenplays. It is very tough to do screenplay for a simple story which doesn't have thriller and mass action scenes. But, the director did it perfectly. The way the twist, which turns the course of the movie is filmed, is just awesome. It is very well thought and very well linked. It will feel you like 'Wow..can it even happen like this?' But the director makes you believe it <3

Cinematography:

You feel like you live in Idukki. Great locations and colorful frames. Rain scenes are too lovely

Best moments:

Spoilers ahead

1) Fahad isn't am awesome photographer. He is just an ordinary still photographer who works at weddings and other local functions. He isn't worried about that. But at a certain point, he realises that he is a bad photographer. That's when he tries to find hus passion for it. Then come the best scenes of how his father teaches him the lovely essence of Photography and how he takes his first good photo. And when he says Thanks to that cute little girl after taking that first good photo, you will surely get goosebumps

2) Scene in which he engineers a photo shoot of the girl (who told her photo is bad) in public place with his assistant is a many-time-watchable one

3) The twist of the story - its best if you see and experience it. It shows how a simple event triggers other and that could trigger an another and finally an unexpected might happen

4) Scene when Fahad orders slipper after taking revenge

5) The characterisation scenes in the opening scenes with the Idukki song - its just great as it shows who the characters are and how they live. The characterisation is perfect that even a Dog is made to look like a part of the story

6) And many more

Why you should watch:

If you want a tale of how simple life can be for people living in rural villages and how their life is filled with fun and Love

Why you shouldn't watch:

There is no reason for not watching this movie. Its perfect and way near to a classic
