Gerard Way once said "When
you die, your whole life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth
watching". Reading this every time makes me think "How my final video
will be like? Will it be a dramatic dull one or a rock song with crackers
bursting around?"
I think I can't say it now. It's because my life haven't started till now. But the real fact from my heart would be 'My life have started right away when I was born and my mind keeps on compromising me due to my laziness, lack of confidence and lack of guts to take that one risk which will change my life. Maybe compromise have become the mantra of the world now.
Nowadays I am starting to fear that 'What if I die without achieving anything at all?' What if I die now when I am walking? What if I die when I am foot boarding in the bus tomorrow? What if I die when I am riding a bike in the weekend? What if I die when I die next month when I am trekking? What if I die next year on my birthday? I would just die. Dot. Nothing to brag about in hell(obviously) or heaven(if possible)
Thinking on achieving, I remember a Quora answer written by an anonymous person 'This world is a party and its not like everyone has to bring and give a gift in that party. You can be a guest and just enjoy the party'. But won't that be wrong? What is the point in enjoying with other's gifts without actually giving one for others to enjoy.
So, what could be my gift? I think it will be a cinema that touches people. Initially, I was thinking that I will make a feature Cinema and achieve. But what are the odds that it will work out? It's because, there are thousands of persons in this Singara Chennai itself, thinking about that achievement. So everyone can't make it up big.
But still, I think everyone could achieve. Cinemas and people around me taught something important in my life. Achievement is not just the one which comes in papers or in the National awards ceremony. It could be very small. It could be a smile or tear from the viewer of your short film. It could be of a father who drives his son/daughter daily in the early morning to the coaching grounds to make him/her achieve. And it goes on like this.
The size of the gift doesn't matter. Its impact matters. The satisfaction it gives you matters. The feel of love you get due to it matters. The peace it gives you matters. To sum it up, 'giving' a gift matters.
The party is on. People are enjoying it. So, let's find that little gift of ours and get to the party before its over.
